StreamBit.tv

Stream to Twitch and YouTube at once, and keep the audience you build.

Point OBS at StreamBit and we send your stream on to Twitch and YouTube, post that you're live on Discord, X and Bluesky, and save every broadcast to your own channel page. That much works today.

What we're building next is the part the big platforms won't give you: an email list and memberships that belong to you.

Your page, not a profile on someone else's site.

Most creator tools look like a control panel. A StreamBit channel looks like somewhere a fan would choose to hang around: your banner, the live player and chat, your VODs, and the posts you share between streams. It's the link for your bio, and where every stream points back to.

Later it gets your own domain, a blog and a members area.

Why isn't StreamBit free?

YouTube is paid for by adverts. Twitch keeps a share of your subs. Kick is funded by its owners while it grows. We don't put adverts around your stream, so the plan you pay for is what keeps it running.

Plans

Every plan has the channel page, VODs, live chat and community posts. What changes is how many places your stream goes, and, once they launch, how big your email list can get and what we take from memberships.

Free sends your stream to one destination and keeps every VOD. Upgrade when you want Twitch and YouTube together.

Why StreamBit isn't free

Free platforms are paid for somehow. YouTube shows adverts to your viewers and keeps a share of the ad money. Twitch keeps a share of your subs. Kick is funded by its owners while it grows. However it's done, the platform owns the relationship with your viewers, and its algorithm decides who gets to see you.

StreamBit is paid for by the creators who use it. That's the whole model, and it's why we can build things that work for you rather than for an advertiser.

What your plan pays for

  • Forwarding your stream. Every destination is another output we run on Cloudflare for as long as you're live, which is why plans are sized by destinations.
  • Recording and storing every broadcast, so it's waiting on your page as a VOD when you finish.
  • Playing video. Delivery is billed by the minute watched: an hour of someone watching on StreamBit's own player costs us about 5p.

No adverts go around your stream or on your channel page, and viewers never pay to watch.

Getting paid by your fans

When memberships and tips launch, you choose how the money reaches you.

  • We handle it. One short form with your name and bank details and you're done. Fans pay through StreamBit, we take our cut and the card fee, and pay the rest into your bank. There's no payment account to set up or look after.
  • Use your own Stripe account. Connect one you already have, or open one. Fans pay straight into it, Stripe charges you its card fee, and we take our cut. The subscriptions belong to your account, so if you ever leave StreamBit your members stay subscribed to you.

Our cut of a membership will be 10% on Free, 8% on Creator and 5% on Pro and Scale. On a £5 membership on Creator you'd keep about £4.32 after our cut and the card fee. Tips are 5% and one-off sales 10% on every plan.

The rate falls as you move up a plan, so doing well never means handing us a bigger share. However you're paid, your fan list is yours to export.
